Secondary students and parents are invited to join us for the Lost Tools of Writing Workshop at The Connection School on July 30th and August 13th from 9:00am to 2:00pm at TCS (it is the same class repeating two different dates).
In this event CiRCE Apprenticeship graduate and CiRCE Academy Instructor, Camille Goldston, will offer a detailed introduction to The Lost Tools of Writing. Mrs Goldston will reveal how to solve the three problems all writers face; the questions that make for the kind of deep thinking that leads to good writing; and why writing doesn’t need to be a stressful, intimidating process. She will lead the participants as they work together through the first six weeks of LTW lessons so that everyone will leave the seminar with confidence to approach the whole year’s work in Composition. Parents and students are invited to attend together. There will be plenty of time for questions and interaction throughout the event.
All existing Jr. High or High School students and parents are recommended to attend. All new high school students and parents are strongly recommended to attend. This workshop is open to the public as well. The cost of this class is $45/student payable to The Connection School (parents attending with their students are free). Students should bring a lunch or extra money for lunch on the day of the workshop.
