INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE
6:00pm – Friday, August 25, 2017
We are closely monitoring the weather forecast for next week and considering the impact Hurricane Harvey will have on school operation next week.
Our school policy regarding school closures due to inclement weather is as follows:
Unless communicated otherwise, The Connection School will follow the emergency closing policy of the Cy-Fair Independent School District (CFISD). If the CFISD Superintendent announces a district-wide closing, The Connection School of Houston will also be closed unless The Connection School specifically communicates otherwise. The Connection School will make every reasonable attempt to communicate quickly and effectively with all its families in the form of by email and/or text to parents, posting on school website (www.theconnectionschool.org) and social media (www.facebook.com/theconnectionschool, www.twitter.com/tcsoh), and over the major television and radio stations as appropriate and available.
Currently, CFISD states “Decisions about potential school closures for Monday, Aug. 28 will be made no later than 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon” (www.cfisd.net). You may expect our decision about school closure to follow shortly after that of CFISD’s.
Here are some helpful resources to consider as you monitor the weather conditions for your own safety:
National Weather Service
CenterPoint Energy Outage Tracker
Houston TranStar High Water Locations
Please pray with us for the safety of TCS families and for all those in the Gulf Coast Region threatened by Hurricane Harvey.
